The Auraria Campus Police Department is a progressive agency that provides comprehensive and professional law enforcement services to the Auraria Higher Education Center and community. We are in continuous operation, providing the Auraria community with a complete line of police services.

We provide many services to the campus community. We investigate all reported crimes, suspicious incidents and traffic accidents, and enforce traffic laws and parking regulations regarding motor vehicles and bicycles. We respond in the event of medical emergencies and other critical events such as weather, fire or hazardous materials incidents. In an ongoing manner, we implement a campus-wide, community policing program involving campus buildings, institutions and departments. This community policing system is regularly utilized to disseminate safety and crime prevention information to the community.

In addition, we offer a wide range of crime prevention services such as academic department security surveys and personal safety and safety presentations. The Auraria Police Department provides finger-printing for a minimal charge to students, staff and faculty, and motorist-assist unlocks in accordance with police department policy. If you have any further questions or would like more information, please contact us at 303-556-5000. “We believe in safety first.”
