The School of Professional Studies is diverse in its offerings, yet all departments focus on outstanding educational opportunities for students. The departments within the school integrate liberal arts and sciences with theory and application in the professional disciplines. This mission is achieved with classroom study and through many unique field placements, internships and student teaching opportunities in which students apply the knowledge and skills they have learned within the classroom. Thus, students graduate with employer-identified skills specific to their chosen careers and develop a broad educational background that enables them to pursue post-graduate studies. Because of the strong emphasis on both academic and practical experience, the School of Professional Studies is attractive to students who are new to academics, continuing students searching for a career-oriented education path or professionals desiring an upgrade in their skills.
