MSU Denver Student Media strives to prepare students for successful careers as multimedia professionals through the support of student-run news and entertainment outlets. Advertising opportunities, including creative services, are available in each outlet at a reduced cost to campus-affiliated departments, organizations and individuals.

The Metropolitan • Student Newspaper

The Metropolitan and its website, www.metnews.org, are produced entirely by MSU Denver students. The paper is published weekly during the fall and spring, and monthly during the summer. We offer students the opportunity to explore such fields as reporting, photography, Web design, marketing, publishing, graphic design and advertising through hands-on experience.

The Met Report • Television News Broadcast

Tune in to this award-winning, weekly television news broadcast, which earned Emmys for Outstanding Student Achievement in Television Broadcasting in 2005 and 2007. The show airs at 12:30 p.m. Fridays on Comcast Channel 54. It can be seen on a continuous loop on Channel 20 across the Auraria Campus or online at www.metreport.org.

KMet Radio • Internet Radio Station

Broadcasts online 24 hours a day, seven days a week on www.kmetradio.org. Its diverse programming covers a wide variety of tastes.

Metrosphere • Arts and Literary Magazine

Gives students and alumni the opportunity to professionally publish their poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art and photography. Printed each spring since 1984, Metrosphere offers a creative alternative to news outlets. In 2007 and 2011, Metrosphere added the Associated Collegiate Press‘ prestigious Pacemaker Award to its record of recognition and achievement. Submissions for the student-produced magazine are accepted during the fall semester, and copies are distributed free to students in the spring. Metrosphere can be found online at www.metrosphere.org.
