The Federal TRIO Veterans Upward Bound program provides eligible military veterans a cost-free university preparatory curriculum to enhance their academic skills and demonstrate the personal commitment required to enroll fulltime. VUB is designed to ease veterans’ transition into higher education. VUB participants will have a simulated university experience that exposes them to the dynamics of a modern university campus environment. As a result, veterans will gain a functional understanding of complex university services, systems and procedures. VUB targets the veteran population within the seven-county Denver metropolitan area (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson). VUB also serves Mesa County on Colorado’s Western Slope.
