Fall 2009/Spring 2010

The Healthy Moves program, sponsored by the Health Center at Auraria, is an innovative health
education concept that is open and free of charge to all students, staff, faculty and Alumni on the Auraria Campus.

Movement, Yoga, Dance & Meditation Programs
Healthy Moves offers a variety of body awareness programs from all over the world that can address an individual’s needs. These programs help to develop a new comfort level with the body, increased ease of motion and a peaceful sense of relaxation and well-being.  

Health Around the World Presentations
Many cultures offer us ancient, highly respected systems for promoting health and healing. Healthy Moves introduces you to many of the surviving medical traditions and will help you understand how you can integrate traditional healing methods with Western medicine.  This includes Cultural Diversity and High Level Wellness programs.

Saturday Programs
We know how hectic and overwhelming your week can be. These special programs will give you an opportunity to relax and unwind as well as learn how to take better care of yourself.  Come join us and take some time for you!We know how hectic and overwhelming your week can be. Wise Women Ways, Yoga, Qigong, African Dance and many other diverse and fun events are offered.



Weight Management
A comprehensive Weight Management Program. -

Please note
Due to overwhelming demand, the original two sessions of the weight management course filled up quickly and a third session was opened. At this juncture, no additional classes can be added. However, individuals can call in to request to be put on a priority registration list for  Spring semester classes. Priority registrants will be called to confirm their interest once class dates and times are established for Spring semester.  


Get Involved! Student Health Advocates
A tri-institutional committee with students from UC-Denver, Metro State & CCD. Are you looking for Professional development opportunities, senior experience projects, internships, work study or a place to volunteer on campus? Use your talents and creativity to help develop health and wellness programming for the Auraria Campus.
