Immunization

Many adolescents and adults are under-immunized, missing opportunities to protect themselves against diseases such as Measles, Hepatitis B, influenza, and pneumococcal disease. The Auraria Immunization Office works closely with public health agencies and the three campus entities to improve and sustain immunization coverage so that the campus community can be protected.

Participation in academic programs such as Teacher Education or Nursing may require students to be tested for Latent Tuberculosis. This test (PPD) requires students to report for test placement on their forearm and to return in 48 hours to have a medical professional read and record the result of the test.

Once this is completed the student will receive documentation which can be submitted to their program.
