Health Professions Endowed Scholarship - Rising Star description

The Rising Star Scholarship is an award for students showing initiative, enthusiasm, and potential for future success in Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Health Professions (HEP) Department. It is the intent of the Rising Star Scholarship to be able to support students in their pursuit of becoming passionate professional in their field of study. Each program in HEP has the opportunity to provide one student with the Rising Star Scholarship. Applicants must have a minimum of Sophomore classification in their program (at least 30 credit hours), be a declared major in HCM, ITP, HND, or RECR programs, and have an appropriate GPA as determined by each program (identified on the application).

You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Rising Star Scholarship:

  • You must be a Health Professions Major degree seeking student at MSU Denver.
  • You must have a cumulative GPA as determined by your specific program.
  • You must have at least Sophomore status in your program.
  • You must be enrolled in 12 credit hours during the semester of the scholarship
