History Minor
Although there are three different minor concentrations in History, the History Department recommends the Regular History Concentration because it allows the student greater flexibility and ease for scheduling. Students may not use a course both in their major and in their minor. Upon request, the History Department will adjust CAPP reports so that one of the minor history courses will count in the General Studies Historical Category as long as at least 18 semester hours remain in the minor. When declaring a minor, students should use the correct code on the Minor Declaration Form. Students who have History minors might want to talk with a History advisor about the possibility of making History a second major.
Note: Students minoring in History must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in their History courses.
