Information Center Manager

The Information Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Information Center for the Belmar Shopping District. The Information Center provides concierge-level customer service including general information, directions, Belmar gift cards, coupons, information on store and center events, and various other guest services to the patrons of Belmar.  The Information Center also collects and distributes pertinent information to and from the various retail and restaurant tenants and acts as a hub of communication for the entire shopping center.

As a member of the property management team, this position reports directly to the General Manager. He or she will work closely with the Marketing Department and with other team members to increase the overall success of the shopping district and maintain an enjoyable atmosphere for guests, tenants and employees at the center.  He or she is responsible for managing the entire Information Center with approximately 4 part-time employees.  Duties include hiring, training and scheduling personnel, preparing and managing the annual budget, monitoring expenditures, establishing guest services procedures and insuring that guest services policies are followed. He or she will partner with the Marketing Director to increase the overall recognition, traffic and sales of the shopping center. The Information Center Manager will support the Marketing Department in their projects, promotions, events and community relations.  He or she will also ensure that the Gift Card program is effectively managed and that sales goals are met.  Managers are expected to become familiar with the business aspects of shopping center management, assist the other team members with issues outside of the guest services venue and participate in local business and civic organizations.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and/or requisite industry and management experience.  A strong, working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other computer programs is required.  Web-design or HTML programming is a plus!  The individual must also possess an upbeat and positive personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to the guests and tenants. The ability to listen and resolve customer conflicts and complaints is mandatory. This position requires effective decision making skills, excellent customer service skills, superior communication skills, and a strong attention to detail. In addition, personnel management, financial management, budget forecasting and scheduling of associates will also be required. The ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or special events as needed is required.  This is a full time, exempt position.

INVERNESS HOTEL OPEN POSITIONS AS OF AUGUST 10th, 2009

Any team member may contact Human Resources regarding these openings.  All positions are filled according to the requirements of the job and the qualifications of the applicant.  Applicants must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, unless otherwise specified.

CULINARY

Kitchen Supervisor (Full-time/Variable Shifts) * -  Seeking a results oriented individual with at least 3 years of experience in a high volume Hotel/Restaurant banquet lead or supervisory position. Individual must be able to set goals, manage multiple tasks through delegation and direction, and act as a facilitator to learning while leading by example. Successful candidate is proactive, resourceful, and in support of competitive ideas in the Culinary industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.

FRONT OFFICE

Front Desk Agent (Full-time/Variable Shifts)Responsibilities include answering internal and external telephone calls, greeting guests, checking guests in and out of the hotel, establishing credit, maintaining guest and group accounts, managing faxes, packages, letters, and other such messages, and maintaining the appearance of the Front Desk and surrounding public areas.

PBX Operator (Full-time/Variable Shifts)  - Will work in the communications department handling incoming calls, faxes and messaging, as well as all internal communication systems. Position requires an articulate individual with excellent communication skills.

IN ROOM DINING

In Room Dining Operator (Part-time/Variable Shifts) * – Responsible for taking Room Service orders accurately in a helpful, friendly, courteous and professional manner and to ensure total guest satisfaction according to established standards

GARDEN TERRACE

Garden Terrace Restaurant Server (Part-time/Variable Shifts) - Responsible for accurately describing the menu, selling, pselling and delivering food to the guest’s table.

PURCHASING

Purchasing Clerk (On-call/Variable Shifts) - Seeking a customer service-oriented individual with good communication skills to be a part of our fast paced hotel environment. Position requires checking in of all food and beverage and filling requisitions for the outlets within the hotel. Food knowledge is a must i.e.; vegetables, proteins and dry goods. Basic computer skills is required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift 50 lbs. or more. Responsible for handling of all Fedex, UPS and DHL mail that arrives for internal and external guests. Able to operate a pallet jack and two wheeler. Experience in cost control and end of month inventory is preferred.
