Description: Alpha Phi Sigma is the nationally recognized honor society for students in the criminal justice sciences. The primary
mission of Alpha Phi Sigma is to promote critical thinking, rigorous scholarship and life-long learning; to keep abreast of the advances in scientific research, to elevate the ethical standards of the criminal justice professions and to sustain in the public mind the benefit and necessity of education and professional training. The Honor society is open to students who have declared criminal justice as their major. Students must maintain a minimum of 3.2 overall GPA and a 3.2 GPA, in criminal justice courses. The student must also rank in the top 35% of their classes and have completed a minimum of four courses within the criminal justice curriculum.
