Certificate Programs for Prior Degree Students

Certificate Programs: The Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Events has five certificate programs, specifically designed to help prior degree students gain the skills and practices necessary to support career changes into the hospitality profession. 

Requirements: Entrance requirements include a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution in any degree field.  Students must make full application and be accepted to the college and take courses for credit.  The cost of the program is the same as undergraduate tuition for degree seeking students.  Since the student is a full-time matriculated student for academic credit, additional financial aid and scholarships may apply.  The credits achieved may also be applied to an additional bachelor’s degree if the student elects to major in one of the departmental concentration of study.  Students with similar courses in their prior experience may request courses be transferred to meet part of the certificate requirements.

Non-Credit Certificate Program Requirements:

  • Review certificate program plan with advisor prior to enrollment.
  • Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.00
