Adult Fitness and Exercise Science Internship

Fall 2013 AFES Internship Meeting

Attention all Adult Fitness and Exercise Science students interested in a Fall 2013 internship:

The meetings for students interested in a Fall 2013 internship were held on December 6, 2012 and February 20, 2013. 

If you were unable to attend either meeting, please bring a 4GB flash drive to Brooke Coleman in the Human Performance and Sport main office (PE 217).  She will download a Power Point and copy of the video from the December 6 meeting onto your flash drive.

The internship is the capstone of the Adult Fitness and Exercise Science degree program.  

The internship opportunity exists to:

  • Assist students in making a successful transition from the classroom to the professional work environment

  • Validate the student’s academic knowledge

  • Help the student develop a professional career orientation


Important Internship Registration Information

  • Internship Application Packets* can be submitted to Dr. Quatrochi or to Ms. Brooke Coleman in PE 217. 

  • Preference will be given to those who submit complete packets early!  The date and time of submission will be recorded upon submission.

Criteria for Internship Applicants

The internship experience is available to the student meeting the following eligibility requirements:

  • Declared major in Human Performance and Sport with emphasis in Adult Fitness and Exercise Science;

  • Senior standing with 100% of the Adult Fitness and Exercise Science course requirements completed;

  • (Major) Grade point average of 2.75;

  • Current CPR and Advanced First Responder card prior to starting the internship; and

  • Submission of CAPP report.
