Institutional Advancement comprises the following areas:

Office of Alumni Relations

The Office of Alumni Relations provides staff support for the Alumni Association and services to Metro State alumni.

Staff members plan alumni social and networking events; design educational offerings; communicate and consult with chapter leaders; help to facilitate the creation of newsletters, calendars, invitations, surveys and other materials; and provide continual and creative ways for alumni to stay connected with Metro State.

The office works closely with the Alumni Association Board of Directors, a group of 18 accomplished alumni who support the College's mission and initiatives.

Office of College Communications

The Office of College Communications manages the College's brand and the related integrated marketing campaign. In addition, it is responsible for all official internal and external communications.

The office builds key relationships with the public, community organizations and the state legislature to promote the College and its activities. With considerable marketing and design expertise, the full-service communications team also promotes College-related events and programs through advertising, media relations, Web communications and collateral materials.

Office of Development

The Office of Development leads Metro State’s efforts to secure private financial support for the College’s academic, cultural and community partnerships.

Serving as liaisons between Metro State and its benefactors, staff members promote the College’s strategic initiatives and priorities and identify individuals, corporations and foundations that can help the College achieve its goals.

Metro State Foundation

The Metro State Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit, direct-support corporation. Created in 1965, the foundation’s mission is to promote the development and general welfare of the College by receiving, investing and administering private support. The foundation benefits from the strong leadership and direction of its Board of Directors.

Office of Sponsored Research and Programs

The Office of Sponsored Research and Programs (OSRP) provides a wide range of funding and award services to Metro State faculty and staff such as accessing public resource opportunities, training for proposal submission and administrative management of ongoing awards.

By providing resources for faculty and staff as well as technical expertise, OSRP promotes the College through mission-related projects in instruction, innovation, acquisition and research.
