Industrial Advisory Board
- There is one board for each of the three engineering technology programs.
- These three boards merge to function as one board for the overall Department of Engineering Technology.
- Composed of practicing engineers and senior technical personnel knowledgeable of the work of graduates.
- Contribute significantly to the growth and development of programs as a means of assuring technical relevance.
- Maintains close liaison with the employing industries.
- Identify needs, progress, and problems of graduates and industry.
- Advise educational solutions.
- Promote community awareness and support.
- Volunteer their time to help us achieve our educational mission.
- Integral part of the assessment process.

Mr. Don Grissom is a graduate from MSU Denver’s Mechanical Engineering Technology Program. While at MSU Denver he became a member of Tau Alpha Pi National Honor Society through the Tau Alpha Pi’s Colorado Gamma Chapter. After graduation he took a Stress Analyst position working on the Missile Defense Shield missile program at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. About one year later he moved into a Test Engineer position in the Engineering Propulsion Labs. As a test engineer he has been involved in testing of propulsion systems and components. Another aspect of the test engineer position has been working with ordnance devices used on spacecraft for staging and deployment functions. He has in preparation for a launch loaded the final ordnance on the Mars Phoenix Lander at Kennedy Space Center. Some interesting aspects of his job include working with cryogenic fluid and hands on time building spacecraft such as the Atlas rocket.
