The Metro State OneCard: Your College ID

The Metro State OneCard is the official ID card for Metropolitan State College of Denver students. It offers a convenient, easy and safe way to use campus services.

You will need your Metro State OneCard for:

  • College identification
  • Free RTD pass with a validation sticker
  • Proof of campus affiliation when accessing the Heath Center at Auraria
  • Access to Campus Recreation
  • Enhanced borrowing privileges at the Auraria Library
  • Participation in the textbook “buyback” program
  • Purchase of a parking permit for the Auraria Campus

Other options available to you as a student for using your Metro State OneCard
You can simply use your Metro State OneCard as your college ID, or you can take advantage of additional options by choosing to open a free U.S. Bank Student Checking Account. Learn more about U.S. Bank Student Checking.

College Refunds
Students who choose to open a U.S. Bank checking account will have any College refunds, including financial aid, deposited directly into their account, allowing them quick and easy access to their funds. ATM Card
If you open a checking account with U.S. Bank, you can use your Metro State One Card as an ATM card, which means you will be able to:

  • Access cash at a Plus ATM by entering your four-digit PIN
  • Visit any of the 5,100 U.S. Bank ATMs to make deposits and check your balance for free
  • Make debit purchases at more than 1.5 million Interlink point-of-sale locations

ATM withdrawals and debit purchases will be deducted directly out of your U.S. Bank checking account.

Metro State OneCard Maxx1
OneCard You can choose to get the maximum out of your student ID by making it your Metro State OneCard Maxx, a debit card that can be used for purchases anywhere Visa® debit cards are accepted. It’s a student ID and a U.S. Bank Visa Check Card, all in one. Use it for everyday purchases and ATM transactions on or off campus, anywhere Visa® Debit Cards are accepted. 

In addition to Interlink point-of-sale locations, you can use the OneCard Maxx to make signature-based purchases anywhere Visa is accepted.

No matter where you use your Metro State OneCard Maxx for Visa debit purchases, the money always comes directly out of your U.S. Bank Checking account.

In addition to the two ATMS on the Auraria Campus, U.S. Bank has more than 40 additional ATMs in Denver.

Reporting Lost or Stolen Cards
If your Metro State OneCard has been lost or stolen, please take the following steps:

  • If you have building access on your ID, report that it missing immediately to Auraria Facilities Management at 303-556-4296.
  • If you have Tivoli access on your card, contact Tivoli Administration at 303-556-6330 or in Tivoli 325.
  • If you have chosen to use the Metro State OneCard to access your U.S. Bank account, call 800-US BANKS (872-2657) immediately and report your card lost or stolen. You will not be responsible for unauthorized Visa purchases. 
  • Bring a copy of your current class schedule, a photo ID and $10 cash or credit card to the Commuter Resource Center, Tivoli 269, 303-556-8385
