Metro State Wireless for iOS 802.1X Instructions

In iOS, connecting to a wireless network does not involve configuring theNetwork name (SSID) before being able to connect. Follow these steps toconnect to the 802.1x Wireless Networks:

Step 1 - Click Settings

Step 2 - Open the Wi-Fi connection

  • Click on the Wi-Fi icon to bring up the Wi-Fi Connection Pane

  • Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned ON

  • Select MetroState wireless network in the Choose a Network... section of the screen

Step 4 - Provide Username and Password for Access

  • Click on the Username field and enter your ADMIN domain username

  • Click on the Password field and enter your ADMIN domain password

  • Leave Mode as Automatic

  • Clock the Join button

  • If you have trouble with your username and password, contact the Metro State Service Center at 303-352-7458 and they can assist you in resetting this password

Step 5 - Accept and Install the Certificate

  • The next screen will prompt you to accept a certicate, this is for security purposes and establishes a trust between your device and the network. You will not be able to connect to this network without installing this certificate

  • Click Accept button and install the certificate

Step 6 - Connection Successful

  • Following these steps will ensure a sucessful connection.

  • Upon returning to the home screen of your device, you should see the Wi-Fi icon in the top left corner
