PC Monitor Display Flickering

  • If the monitor display flickers causing eye strain, the refresh rate isn't set correctly you will see a noticeable flicker on the screen.

  • To change the monitor refresh rate:

    1. Right click on the desktop and then left click on Properties

    2. Click on the Settings tab.

    3. Click on the Advanced button.

    4. Click on the Monitor tab.

    5. In the drop down menu for Screen refresh rate to see if the refresh rate can be

      changed. If it can't, uncheck Hide modes that this monitor cannot display.

    6.  Click on the drop down menu pick a refresh rate above 60 Hertz (ex. 75).

    7.  After the refresh is set you may need to readjust your monitor screen size and

      position using the controls on the monitor.
