Trouble using FTP

  • If you are having problems connecting to Rowdy using an FTP client, confirm that the passive FTP option is selected in your client’s settings.
  • Passive mode forces data connections to be established by the client (the sender), rather than the server (the receiver). Passive mode is often required for users who are behind a router-based firewall. Please use your FTP client’s Help menu to look for the Passive or PASV setting, change the existing setting if necessary and try the transfer again.
