What does “retirement” mean? For Lopez, it was saying goodbye to 35 years in the aerospace industry—where he contributed to technology such as advanced missile systems and military satellites, and worked as an engineer for names like Raytheon and Lockheed Martin—and joining the faculty at MSU Denver.
Needless to say, Lopez brought a wealth of knowledge to our Aviation and Aerospace Science Department, and a few of his former colleagues as well. Together, this “brain trust” of collective, relevant experience provides an education with possibilities as endless as space itself.
