Recital Attendance
All students enrolled in private instrumental instruction must also be registered for Recital Attendance and their assigned major ensemble. Students in private lessons are required to attend 7-10 of the Music Department's Mondays at MSU Denver Student Recitals from 2:00-2:50pm, and 2-5 eligible evening concerts for a combined total of 12 concerts throughout the semester. A list of eligible evening concerts is available on the wall outside the Music office in Arts 287. Please refer to the Recital Attendance Policy for more information about this requirement, also available on the wall outside the Music office.
Performance Class
If you are enrolled in private instrumental instruction, your attendance is also required every Wednesday for your instrument area's Performance Class. All instrument areas meet from 2:00 to 2:50pm except for Jazz, which meets from 3:00 to 4:00pm. Performance Class locations vary from week to week; please refer to the Performance Class schedule for weekly instrument area locations. This schedule is available on the wall outside of the Music office in Arts 287.
Note: if you are studying privately at MSU Denver on more than one instrument, attend your primary instrument's Performance Class the first Wednesday and consult your Area Coordinator.
