Justin Adams is an alumni of MSU Denver, having received a B.A. in Music in 1996. Proud to have recently returned to provide the college's first-ever instruction in private jazz piano, Justin is very happy to be working with his long-time mentor, Ron Miles, teaching jazz chamber music. He has performed with jazz greats Claudio Roditi, J.P. Torres, Chris Calloway, Candido Camaro, Claudio Slon, and has played at many national jazz festivals. Other notable performances include: the Inaugural Ball with Wayne Newton, the Kentucky Derby, and the City of New Orleans New Year's Eve Celebration. He has recorded with Conjunto Colores, Michael Friedman, After Midnight Swing Band, and many others.
Justin is a teacher who believes that the spiritual aspect of life is represented in human creativity. His ultimate purpose as a teacher is to empower students to find their own unique voice and contribute that voice to the community. He teaches four weekly jazz chamber ensembles and has over 50 private students.
