Denver guitarist Dave Devine is an instructor at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His duties include private instruction, jazz pedagogy and directing jazz ensembles. He earned a performance degree in classical guitar from Butler University (1993-1997), while studying composition with Dr. Michael Schelle. Dave then attended Indiana University (1997-2000) where he studied with Ernesto Bitteti and Luis Zea, and graduated with a Performer's Diploma in classical guitar. He was also a teaching assistant to David Baker, played in jazz ensembles, and taught private lessons. He has played across the US and UK, as well as in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Dave has performed with Ron Miles, Art Lande, Janet Feder, Elliott Sharp, Matt Wilson, Reginald Veal and has recorded with producer/engineer Steve Albini.
