Betsy Schwarm Glesner is a historian who happens to know a thing or two about classical music, thanks to twenty years on the air with classical radio stations including KVOD and KCFR. Currently, she serves on the music faculty of Metropolitan State University of Denver, teaches general interest music education programs for DU's University College and other area organizations, gives pre-performance lectures for Opera Colorado and the Colorado Symphony, and writes program notes for performing arts groups on the national and international scene, including the Cleveland Orchestra, the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, and the Huntsville Symphony. She recently published a general interest music history book called "Classical Music Insights" and late in 2012, will publish a follow-up, "Operatic Insights."
