Collegiate Music Educators National Conference (CMENC)

American Choral Directors Association (CACDA)
Founded in 1959, the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) is a nonprofit music-education organization whose central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research, and teaching. In addition, ACDA strives through arts advocacy to elevate choral music's position in American society. Metro State maintains and active collegiate chapter of ACDA. Concert Choir Council (CCC)
Concert Choir Council is comprised of students who have been elected to office from within the Concert Choir membership. Their purpose is to provide fund-raising and support for activities that benefit students enrolled in the choral program at Metro State. Back to Top
Denver Metro Collegiate Chapter OF MTNA (DMCC)
Founded in 2005, the Denver Metro Collegiate Chapter includes college students from the Denver area. Benefits include deep discounts to membership in the Music Teachers National Association and state and national conferences. It also includes American Music Teacher magazine, as well as Notes and News, the newsletter of Colorado State MTA. Music Activities Committee (MAC)
The Music Activities Committee (MAC) is comprised of one student member from each of the performance areas. MAC meets monthly with the Chair of the Music Department to evaluate and award financial support to various projects that benefit student learning in the music department.
