HLC | Higher Learning Commission Reaccreditation Self-Study |
|
|
In its Self-Study Report, Metro State must show that it meets the five criteria for accreditation. Each of the five criteria has “core components”, and each core component must be addressed. As guidance for institutions, the HLC recommends that institutions provide certain “examples of evidence” to show that they meet the core components. A document listing the criteria, core components, and examples of evidence is also located on this website. The requirements dictate the organization of the Self-Study Report. The report must also address concerns raised from previous visits by the Higher Learning Commission, and it must show that the College is in compliance with federal regulations. Finally, Metro State is making a change request asking for permission to offer degrees by distance delivery. That chapter is also part of the Self-Study Report. Comments should be sent to Frieda Holley, HLC-NCA Self-Study Coordinator, holleyf@mscd.edu. Thank you for your interest.
