Hi everyone! My name is Brittany and I am a junior here at Metro State. I am an English major with a writing concentration, a Marketing minor, and I'm working on a certificate in basic competency in Spanish. Besides being a super cool Orientation Leader, I'm also a sister and the Membership Recruitment Chair in Phi Sigma Sigma and the secretary for the English honor society Sigma Tau Delta. If you couldn't already tell, I love to be busy. So from experience, the best advice I can give any new student is to get a planner and stay organized. That way things like deadlines don't creep up on you last minute. I'm so happy you've chosen Metro State and welcome!

Hey, I’m Henry! I’ll be a junior this school year. I’m majoring in Behavioral Science with a minor in Coaching and I plan on getting a certificate in Non-Profit Organization Administration. I want to be a high-school counselor one day. I enjoy building a community amongst students. Metro is a great college because as a student that transferred from CU-Boulder after a semester there, I discovered that Metro provides an awesome learning environment and a diverse student body. Getting involved will help you feel more attached and prideful of Metro. I look forward to seeing you here at Metro State!

Hey people, my name is Jason Eaton and I am presently a junior here at Metro State majoring in Social Work. I am a transfer student from Southwestern Community College in Creston, IA in which I received my Associates Degrees in Arts and Sciences. I was born in Colorado Springs and moved to Missouri my freshmen year of high school. After graduating from Southwestern I moved back to Colorado Springs where I worked at an elementary school with severe and profound handicapped children. From this experience I decided that I wanted to continue to help people but in a different manner so enrolled here at Metro State. I now enjoy chilling here in the New Student Orientation office, I take pleasure in my classes, working out at campus recreation center, and taking part in the Denver Downtown lifestyle. One last thing that I have to say to you: Keep it real and enjoy the show.

Hi, my name is Jessie Keller. I was born in New Mexico; raised in Denver, Colorado; and graduated from Denver South High. I have gone to Naropa, CU Boulder, Front Range Community College and am now a senior finishing my degree in social work. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I will do my best to answer them. I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors.

I’m sophomore studying Aerospace Systems Engineering Technology. I’m a native of Colorado; I was born here in Denver, and raised in Parker. I’m a proud father of two beautiful children Kaiden and Destiny, who are 7 and 9. I volunteer at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in the restorations department on Saturdays when I can. My dream is to be apart of a space program, but I’ll be happy working in the aviation field in general. I enjoy spending my free time taking advantage of the opportunities afforded to us by our beautiful mountains.

My name is Alyssa Montoya and this is my first summer as an Orientation Leader on campus. I’m a senior marketing major who aspires to have a career in the professional sports/entertainment industry doing promotions and event management. I’ve had experience interning for AEG Live and the Denver Outlaws Professional Lacrosse team. I am a Colorado native and have a passion for sports and competition. As a transfer student to Metro there is no other institution that I would rather be at. The diversity, location, and constant excitement on campus make me proud to be a Roadrunner.
My name is Laura Veraldo. I am a senior at Metro in the outstanding Music Education program. I play the piano, sing, and am currently working on learning the guitar. I believe Metro is a very supportive community. I believe students can succeed at Metro. Our teachers care and want to see us go far in life. I am a New Student Orientation Leader because I believe that college can be a challenging place, and new students deserve the chance to begin their learning experience with a strong start. I care a lot about Metro and the future of our students.
My name is Jesse Griego; I am new to the Orientation team but am very excited to join this great organization. I am an 18 year old from Denver, CO. I am a student studying Athletic Training at Metropolitan State College of Denver (renamed Denver State University) studying Athletic Training.
