New Student Orientation
Welcome to Metro State! New Student Orientation is required of all new students to help you learn more about Metro State, create a class schedule, and learn about policies and procedures unique to your college experience.
How to register for orientation:
Step 1: Please compare your SAT/ACT scores with the chart below:
| Scores: | ACT | SAT |
| English | 18 or higher | 440 or higher |
| Mathematics | 19 or higher | 460 or higher |
| College Algebra | 20 or higher | 470 or higher |
| Reading | 17 or higher | 430 or higher |
Step 2: If all of your scores meet these requirements, click here to register for orientation.
Step 3: If you do not know your SAT/ACT scores, or the results are lower than listed above please continue on to step 4
Note* Scores can be obtianed through the Assessment and Testing Office by calling 303-556-3677.
Step 4: Please click on the calendar to the right to view orientation session dates for Winter 2009-2010. Please find a date that is available to you.
Step 5: You can register for an orientation session online or over the phone.
Register by phone:

Call our office at 303-556-6931. Please have your 900# ready.
Register by web:

Go to metroconnect.mscd.edu, look up your username and password, then login.

Once in the system, click on the 'MyServices/Registration' tab and go to the Orientation and Assessment Testing menu.

Click on the 'My Services' button located in the middle of the page.

Re-enter your log in information.

Select 'Orientation and Assessment Testing Menu' from the list given.

Select 'Register for an Orientation Session.'

Choose from the drop down menu the session you would like to attend.

Click on 'Register for Session' button to complete process.
