1. Do I need to attend orientation?
All degree-seeking MSU Denver students, regardless of age, must attend an orientation session.  This includes all first-time-to-college students, transfer students, post-secondary students, and teacher licensure candidates.  Non-degree seeking students and readmitted students who have completed an orientation within the last five years are not required to attend an orientation, but it is always highly recommended.

2. Why do I have to attend orientation? What will I get out of it?
Orientation sessions provide valuable services and academic information critical for success.  Orientation covers degree planning, academic concerns, student support programs, commuter issues, and more.  Students will also receive the Student Handbook, and other essential informational guides.  Additionally, topics of particular interest to transfer students will be covered in sessions designed for them.
