Campus Tours and Featured Activities
The following tours and featured activities were offered at the November 2012 Open House. Please check back in March for information on the April 2013 Open House offerings.
Campus Tours:
Campus tours are scheduled between 10:00am and 1:30pm and leave from the northwest corner of the Event Center main floor. Each tour lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Please go to the tour station to sign-up.
The Hospitality, Tourism & Events Department:
The Hospitality, Tourism & Events Department will be conducting a tour of their new Hospitality Learning Center at noon today. Complete with four uniquely different kitchens and an operational Marriott Springhill Suites Hotel attached to it, this state of the art facility is ideal for the student wishing to excel in hotel, restaurant, tourism and event management. On going tours between 11:30am-1:00pm.
If you have questions about the HTE program, visit visit the Hospitality, Tourism and Events table (number 37) on the main floor of the Event Center.
The Aviation & Aerospace Science Department:
The Aviation & Aerospace Science Department will provide a tour of the World Indoor Airport and a program overview at 11:00am and Noon.
All interested persons should meet at the tour station on the main floor of the Event Center to sign up for this activity. A staff member will escort you to the World Indoor Airport on Seventh Street where the tour and presentation will take place. If you have more questions, visit the Aviation and Aerospace table (number 32).
Come Tour the Brand New Offices of the Department of Communication Arts & Sciences!
If you are interested in Speech Communication, Broadcasting or Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences, join us for a tour of our newly remodeled space in the Central Classroom. We'll be showing off our new offices, WCAS radio control room, computerized audio recording and editing booths, new media classrooms and speech, language, hearing sciences audio booth, observation clinic and lab space.
