Events:

The Office of Sponsored Research and Programs is committed to providing faculty and staff with training, seminar and workshop opportunities to enrich the grant/contract research, development and submission processes.

Training

A series of training modules are provided throughout the academic year for both new and experienced Principal Investigators designed to provide assistance in understanding the functions, processes and operation of OSRP.

These trainings are provided in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation format to allow for both individual and group sessions.

Seminars

Seminars are provided both internally and externally. In collaboration with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) and other associations, opportunities are available to attend webinars which relate to selected live conference calls with both leaders and program directors for many public funded grant programs.

The Director of OSRP presents a series of Faculty and Staff Achievement in Grants programs each semester that highlight funded programs currently operating on the Metro State campus. These sessions provide both interesting and educational glimpses at the diverse activities of program administrators and their individual works through grant funding.

Workshops

Small group workshops are being developed by the OSRP office to assist faculty and staff in Grant Mentoring projects through which new Principal Investigators are paired with seasoned grant project directors to compete for funds by completing a series of workshops designed to assist in the grant development process.

Events are published on the OSRP website periodically as they are scheduled in the What’s New sidebar.
