Grant Process

OSRP Grant Process - All Steps

Pre-Award

The Pre-Award process begins with the research and selection of a grant Request for Proposal (RFP) and continues throughout the developmental stages of the proposal through the submission to the funding agency. The Pre-award Coordinator is available throughout the process to assist the Principal Investigator (PI).

Budget

The Budget is the key proposal component driving activities and outcomes. Most federal agencies include budget forms as a part of their application package. The budget process is discussed in detail to assist the Principal Investigator in determining the cost of the project. The OSRP staff is available to work with the PI in creating a budget and budget narrative.

Post-Award

The Post-Award process begins with the awarding of the grant/contract and continues through the life of the project until the post award accounting or close out. Grants and contracts carry complex technical and administrative responsibilities, which involve strict accountability. The OSRP Post-Award Coordinator is available throughout the post-award process to assist the PI in the management of their grant awards.
