Transcript of Records

An official transcript is a certified copy of a student’s permanent academic record. Transcripts are free. All students can order transcripts by logging on to MetroConnect. There is a charge for faxed transcripts. Transcripts will be released by the Registrar’s Office upon formal written request by the student. Transcripts will also be issued to firms and employers if written authorization is received from the student. Requests should include the student’s full legal name as recorded while attending Metro State, student identification number, last term of attendance, number of copies desired, and to whom and where transcripts are to be sent. Transcripts may be withheld because of indebtedness to the College or for other appropriate reasons. Copies of transcripts from other institutions that are on file in the Registrar’s Office will be issued upon signed request by the student. Students from other institutions taking Metro State courses or interinstitutional registration programs must request transcripts from their home institution.
