2011 Student Survey
Student Body President's Message
It is very important that we, as students, voice our opinions about Metro State. Gathering feedback and student opinions is essential to ensure that our school maintains excellence and continues to grow into its vision of pre-eminence. If you have ever felt that your voice was not heard, now is your chance. This is your opportunity to tell our administrators and our faculty all the things you think are done well and point out areas that need improvement. Our college administrators and faculty are listening.
In order for our administration and faculty to better understand Metro State’s strengths and to identify the areas of possible improvement, they are conducting a Student Experience Survey. Results of this confidential survey will be used for Metro State’s continuous improvement as they work to meet our institutional goals. They want to know what you think is special about being a student here as well as the problems that you see, so that they can improve upon them. The institution will use these results to explore new ways to help us be successful and help the College fulfill its mission.
Metro State has engaged ModernThink, a management-consulting firm that specializes in surveys of employees at institutions of higher education, to implement the survey. The results from our survey will provide us with climate, satisfaction and student perception information allowing for benchmarking and planning.
While the survey is comprehensive in scope, it is also concise and to the point. It should take only about 20 minutes to complete. I assure you that your responses will remain strictly confidential. You’ll take the survey on ModernThink’s website, where you’ll be provided with a unique username and password that no other Metro State student will know. Therefore, your responses will not be individually recognizable and your confidentiality will be protected. You’ll be able to access the survey wherever a computer is available, even at home. ModernThink will report the results to us in May 2011, and we will share those with the Metro State community.
If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions regarding the survey or the survey process, please do not hesitate to contact Interim Associate to the President for Diversity Myron Anderson at 303-556-3022 or firstname.lastname@example.org or Suzi Schmittlein, ModernThink’s project manager for Metro State’s survey, at (888) 684-4658 or email@example.com.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey and voice your opinions. Your candid and honest feedback will benefit Metro State greatly.
