2013 STAFF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE

 

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The 2013 MSU Denver Staff Professional Development Conference is soliciting proposals for presentations/workshops for the June 24th event.  Building on the themes of the last few years, this year’s theme, Climate/Change, will look toward what is needed to create a positive climate of innovation and change, built upon the ten democratic principles and collaboration.  Our keynote speaker for the conference will be announced shortly.

 

This year the conference will be conducted in one day with the morning session repeated in the afternoon.  The breakout sessions for your presentations, workshops or program activities will be 60 minutes long.

 

 Session Themes for this year are:

 
  1. Change and leadership

  2. Climate and transparency

  3. Climate and communication

  4. Change and student needs

  5. Change through assessment

 

Proposals are limited to one page discussing the salient aspects of your presentation.  The proposal should include:

 

- An outline of the presentation/program/workshop

- Your goals for the presentation/program/workshop

- A brief discussion of how your presentation/program/workshop is relevant to Metro State and fits in with the Session Theme.

-Any A/V or IT requirements for the room

Proposals are due by the end of the day on Tuesday, April 30th and notification of acceptances will be sent out in early May.
