Diversity Welcome

Metropolitan State College of Denver values diversity and has identified diversity as one of its strategic planning goals. The Office of Institutional Diversity works to uphold the values of the college mission and serves as a resource to the Metro State community by providing leadership and oversight on issues related to diversity. Our goal is to support and promote diversity in all aspects of campus life to include the design and development of initiatives that embrace and support diversity.

To this end, the college takes a pro-active and balanced approach to diversity. It supports and values diversity in all forms* in a teaching and learning community marked by mutual respect, inclusion, and cooperation. Diversity is reflected in the curriculum, in activities of the college, and in the composition of faculty, staff, and students.

*Diversity embraces age, race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, disabilities, sexual orientation, religion, as well as intellectual differences.
