The Urban Leadership Program at MSU Denver is a unique program designed to give you the knowledge, skills, and networks to grow in your leadership. Those selected will receive extra training and support to prepare them to use their leadership on campus and in the Denver community. Students are eligible for over $50,000 in scholarships each year through participation in the program.
Eligibility
- 12 earned hours from accredited institution of higher education.
- 30 earned credit hours by January 2013 *
- 2.75 Cumulative GPA
- Completed Urban Leadership Program Application
- Completed Interview with ULP Committee
*Students with a recommendation from a First Year Experience Faculty member and 12 credit hours from Fall 2012 are also eligible. Must meet all other qualifications.
Program Expectations
Commitment to participate in academic program requirements
- Enrollment in LDR 1010 Course for Spring 2013 Semester
- Full-time enrollment (12 credit hours) for Spring 2013 Semester
- Commitment to participate in program co-curriculum throughout semester
- Leadership Immersion Conference (January 13-15 in Estes Park)
- CLA Student Summit (Saturday, January 26th on campus)
- Meetings two times each month on Friday mornings from 8:30-10:00 am
- Semesterly Service Project (approximately 10 hours/semester)
