2. Print out, complete and mail this PDF version of the application (https://www.mscd.edu/admissions/application/)
The online version is faster and easier for you (and for us), so we highly recommend it.

Application Checklist for first-time college students (age 19 and younger)
1. Complete your Metro State application online.
2. Send your $25 nonrefundable application fee to:

3. Ask your high school counselor to send your official high school transcript, with current GPA and class rank information to our Office of Admissions (same address as above). GED candidates, do the same with your GED scores.
4. Take the SAT or ACT and have your official test scores sent directly to the Office of Admissions. (Metro State’s SAT code is 4505. The ACT code is 0519.) The ACT or SAT is not required for applicants with a GED.
5. Calculate your CCHE index using this chart (http://www.mscd.edu/admissions/cdhe.shtml). If your index is 84 or below, we strongly encourage you to submit letters of recommendation and a one-page personal statement addressing your academic history and goals at Metro State.
6. Review your high school transcript to verify that you have completed the State of Colorado Higher Education Admission Requirements (HEAR). This includes:
- Four years of English
- Three years of math (Algebra I or higher)
- Three years of science, two of which are lab sciences
- Three years of social science
- Two years of academic electives
