| Helen Thorpe... Helen Thorpe lives in Denver, Colorado. Her magazine stories have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Texas Monthly, and 5280. Her radio stories have aired on This American Life and Soundprint. She currently serves on the board of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver. Just Like Us is her first book. |

Showcase your work at the First Annual MSU Denver Undergraduate Research Conference!
- Open to all MSU Denver undergraduate students
- Showcases scholarly and creative projects/presentations
- Both oral and poster presentations invited

- Lunch provided for presenters and participants
- Keynote Speaker: Dr. John Janovy Jr., Varner Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences, University of Nebraska Lincoln
If you are an undergraduate student who would like to present your work at the conference, start planning now! There are a few things you’ll need to do. First, ask a MSU Denver faculty member to guide you through the process. Your faculty mentor will help you prepare and practice your presentation, as well as provide encouragement and support.
To reserve space in the conference program for your presentation, submit an “Intent to Present” form online by March 16, 2012 and the “Abstract Submission” form by April 9, 2012. About a week before the conference, you will find out the time and location of your presentation.
