When are grades available?
Grades are available the Thursday after classes/finals are completed (see academic calendar for specific date). Use the following steps to access your grades.
- Login to MetroConnect
- Click on the "My Services/Registration" tab in MetroConnect
- Click on My Services Icon
- Click on "Registration, Student Records & Financial Aid Menu "
- Click on "Student Records"
- Click on "Final Grades"
- Select semester and click Submit
How can I receive more information about Metro State through the mail?
To receive more information about Metro State in the mail, submit an Admissions Packet Request form found online here. Or call the Admissions Office at 303-556-3058.

How much is tuition?
Tuition can vary from semester to semester. For the most current tuition information online, go to the Tuition and Fees page.

How do I request a transcript?
You can order FREE official MSCD transcripts in the following ways:
If you are a current student:
Log in to MetroConnect
- Click on the My Services/Registration tab
- Click on Main Menu Icon
- Click on Registration, Student Records and Financial Aid Menu
- Click on Student Records
- Click on Request for Official Transcript and follow the directions
Students can also view or print their unofficial transcript on the Web as well. Simply choose View/Print Unofficial Academic Transcript under Student Records.
If you have not attended Metro in the past year:
Go to Metro's Homepage
- Under QUICK LINKS click on Transcripts/Records
- Then read item #1 and click "Here" at the end of the sentence
- Then log in with your SSN and your Birth Date which is your six digit birth date (mmddyy).
- Fill out request for Official Transcript and follow the directions

Does Metro State have on-campus housing?
The Auraria campus (home to Metro State) is located in the heart of the Denver metropolitan area and has no on-campus housing.
Although the Auraria campus is an urban, commuter campus, many students take advantage of nearby housing. Links to several housing locator services as well as the real estate sections of the two major daily papers serving the Denver metropolitan area can be found on the Housing Resources web page.
How long do I have to live in Colorado to pay in-state tuition?
An in-state student is defined as an individual who has been domiciled (physical presence and intent) in Colorado for the 12 continuous months or more immediately preceding the first day of the semester in which you enroll.

Is Health Insurance required of students?
All students taking 10 credit hours (or more) in the Fall and/or Spring semester and those taking 8 credit hours (or more) in the Summer semester are required to participate in the College-sponsored health insurance plan and are assessed this charge automatically on their tution bill. Students having proof of outside health insurance coverage (that meets or exceeds the College's comparability standards) can waive this charge IF THEY SUBMIT A WAIVER BY THE PUBLISHED WAIVER DEADLINE.
Where do I get my student ID/bus pass?
You can get a new student ID in the Commuter Resource Center, Tivoli Student Union, room 269. The cost for a new ID is $10, and your ID doubles as an RTD Bus pass. Click here for more ID and RTD Bus pass information.

How do I find out what books I need?
To find the required text for a particular class, you can visit The Auraria Book Center web site at http://www.aurariabooks.com/. From this site you can search for textbooks by term, department, course and section.
The final word in textbook requirements is with the individual instructor. Contact your major department for more information.
How do I find my instructors e-mail address/phone number?
Faculty and staff contact information can be found using the Search/Directory page on the Metro State web site. From this page you may search an online faculty directory by last name, first name or by any part of the name you can recall.
It is possible that some faculty information is not available from this directory. If you cannot find the faculty or staff contact information you are looking for on the Search/Directory page, contact the academic department for which the instructor teaches, directly.
Where can I find the finals schedule?
The finals schedule can be found at the following URL, http://www.mscd.edu/cgi-bin/finalschd/finals.cgi.
You can access this page from our home page www.mscd.edu by clicking on either the "Academics" or "For Students" link. On the subsequent page under the heading titled "Schedules & Calendars" is a link to the "Final Exam Schedule".
