Individualized Learning
Can I receive college credit for my work or volunteer experience?
Credit for prior learning you’ve gained outside the college classroom is available through national examinations (such as CLEP), portfolio assessment, departmental examinations, and published guides. Information sessions are held biweekly through the Center for Individualized Learning.

How do I design my own major or minor?
The Individualized Degree Program at MSU Denver offers you the opportunity to design a major or a minor to meet your specific educational goals -- when those goals cannot be met by majors and minors currently offered by the college. You will work closely with an advisor in the Center for individualized Learning and a faculty mentor to design a coherent program of study that meets your objectives. Your program must be approved by the department chair from which the majority of credit is drawn and by the dean of the appropriate School.
