How do I get my residency changed from out-of-state to in-state?
Your residency status is determined at the time of your admission to MSU Denver. Your classification is based on criteria established by the Colorado Tuition Classification Law, CRS S23-7-101 (1973). Once set, your residence status remains unchanged unless satisfactory evidence of a change is presented.
You’ll need a Petition for In-State Tuition Classification form, and the evidence requested on the form, by the deadline published for each semester in the Class Schedule.
