Get it, Tap it, Love it! RTD’s Smart Card
For students–
Your student bus pass is changing.
Starting with the 2013 spring semester RTD’s new CollegePass smart card will replace the sticker on your University ID. The RTD campaign is called get it, tap it, love it because you’ll tap your card at a card reader when boarding a bus or before boarding light rail.
Registered students can pick up their smart card in the Tivoli Multicultural Lounge on Jan. 7-19 and Jan. 22, 2013. The distribution hours are:
Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Students must present their University ID and their spring 2013 class schedule to receive their smart card.
If you can’t come to campus during the distribution, you’ll be able to pick up your smart card at the Commuter Resource Center, TIV 269. Plus, there will be a grace period until Feb. 12, 2013 during which you can still use your current fall sticker. However, RTD encourages students to get their smart card during the January distribution.
For faculty and staff–
Your RTD Eco Pass will become a smart card as well. Nothing will change except that you’ll receive a smart card when you go to Auraria Parking Services, rather than a sticker.
Eco Pass holders should have received a 12/4/12 email from AHEC with instructions regarding an Eco Pass contract that must be completed prior to picking up their smart card.
If you did not receive the email or have further questions, contact Cathy Decker with Auraria Parking and Transportation, 303-556-2005 or cathy.decker@ahec.edu.
