Metro Scholars Program

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Metro State Scholars Program is to provide academic support services, leadership development programming, and enrichment activities to scholarship students to assist them in reaching their full academic potential and goals at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Metro Scholars Program Requirements

Metro Scholars must meet the following requirements each fall and spring semester in order to remain in good standing with their scholarship program and the Metro Scholars Program:

  • Meet your individual Scholarship Requirements
  • Complete the Student Success Passport: 
      1. Meet with a Metro Scholars Program Staff Member: Schedule and attend an individual 30 minute meeting with a Metro Scholars Program staff member within the first 2 weeks of classes. At your fall semester meeting, you will discuss your Student Academic Success Plan, sign your Metro Scholars Program scholarship contract, and receive your Student Success Passport.
      2. Get Involved: Attend a Metro Scholars Program Event OR participate in a Volunteer Activity. (You must complete one of each over the course of the academic year.)
      3. Campus Resource: Utilize a campus resource as agreed upon with Metro Scholars Program staff during your individual meeting.
  • Complete any additional requirements as requested by Metro Scholars Program staff
