My name is LaTonya Benjamin and this is my second year here at MSU Denver majoring in Business Management. It is my dream to work in the Acquisition Department of the Air Force. As your Peer Advocate, my job is to help smooth out some of the bumps you’ll experience as you travel along in your college career. As someone who has been out of school for years, I understand that being back in a classroom setting is quite an adjustment. I know it is a struggle to maintain focus with all the distractions and obligations from the outside world, to exercise skills that have lain dormant for so long, to learn something new on a daily bases and be able to recall it, believe me I know. But I’m here to tell you that if I can do it, I know you can. I cannot wait to share my experiences with you in the hopes that they will, somehow, get you to realize your dreams.
