What is Smarthinking?

Smarthinking provides tutoring in Mathematics (Basic Skills - Calculus II), Writing, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Accounting, Economics, Spanish and Statistics. Students can "Drop-in" for live tutoring, submit questions for a response within 24 hours, pre-schedule sessions, and view archives of past sessions.

How do I log-on to Smarthinking?

• Log on to ConnectU.

• Click on the Student Tab.

• Scroll down the page to Smarthinking.

• Use your ConnectU username and password to log-on to Smarthinking.

Smarthinking is a courtesy service provided to MSU Denver students currently enrolled in courses.  Smarthinking is a service intended for students to use during evenings and weekends when Student Academic Success Tutoring is closed. 

Here are the services available to students through Smarthinking:

• Each student will have an allotment of 4 hours of online tutoring for the fall and 4 hours of online tutoring for the spring.
• This includes two (2) uploads to the following Smarthinking areas for each fall and spring semester; Essay Center, Paragraph Submission, Career Writing, Resume or Cover Letter, and Spanish Essay Center.
• After students have exhausted their 4 hours each semester or have used their two (2) uploads per semester, students will be charged for additional usage/uploads by Smarthinking (please see chart below for cost).
