Personal Biography Statement

Professor Robert Amend teaches scriptwriting, video editing and media production courses. He worked as a corporate writer and producer for more than eight years prior to joining MSCD. Professor Amend is co-author of a textbook Media for Business and author of A Survey of Media Production. In addition to his teaching duties, he has written and produced programs for cable, nonprofit and governmental clients. He has also produced programs for a variety of musical groups including the Takacs Quartet, the Aspen Music Festival, Alan Parsons and others. Bob served as co-chair of the Denver Video Festival and is a member of the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) and its Educational Foundation. Professor Amend is the Chairman of the department.
