Personal Biography Statement

Arthur León Campa was a Professor of Anthropology at Metro State from 1993 - 2008, where he taught classes in Exploring Folklore, Peoples & Cultures of the American Southwest, South American Peoples & Cultures, and Doing Fieldwork. He has performed research and sustainable development work in northern coastal Perú for the past 10 years in conjunction with other international NGO's. He has been both Director, Co-Director, and Co-Principal Investigator of the Metro State College Assistance Migrant Program since 1999.

Research Areas/Interests

Ethnographic cultural history of the American Southwest and South America; Folklore of the Southwest; Fieldwork methodology; Migrant Education.
