Personal Biography Statement
Dr. Chang received his MBA and Ph.D. in marketing from University of Missouri-Columbia, BBA from National Chengchi University, Taiwan. His main teaching interests include international marketing, marketing research, and marketing strategy. He has been a marketing educator since 1980s at a number of universities in the States and in Taiwan, including University of Missouri, University of Wisconsin, National Chengchi University (Taiwan), Tunghai University, Loyola University, and currently a senior professor at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Dr. Chang has numerous journal publications in Journal of Academy of Marketing Science, Psychology and Marketing, International Marketing Review, Journal of Services Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Service Industry Management, Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management, Journal of Global Marketing, etc., and numerous professional presentations at national and international conferences such as AMA and AMS conferences. Dr. Chang has been a keynote speaker for international marketing conferences on emerging issues in international marketing and international economics. He has co-chaired a number of international conferences.
Teaching Philosophy
Weak and easy professors lead to weak and poor students. Weak and poor administrators lead to weak and easy professors. Eventually, weak and easy professors & weak and poor administrators will drive out competent and more qualified professors and students. This is Gresham's law at work in education.
