Personal Biography Statement

I have been teaching at Metro State since 1996. I originally came to MSCD to teach elementary language arts, with a focus on K-16 writing instruction. In 2007 I became the Director of Composition and joined the Department's writing faculty. My husband, Richard, is a Denver native and is a retired principal and science teacher for Denver Public Schools. We have two children: Evan and Janie. I enjoy spending time with family, playing the piano and organ, working out every morning, and reading good books.
