My name is Lynn Dexter and I have taught at Metro for the last sixteen years in two different departments: Health Professions and Human Performance, Sport and Leisure.
My background is a little different than most of the other instructors in Nutrition, as I am an exercise physiologist. This means that I have a balance of both nutrition and fitness knowledge. I believe that both healthy eating and an active lifestyle are equally important to well being!
Personally, I have a great spouse, with whom I spend much of my free time riding a tandem bicycle all over the world. In fact, a personal goal in my life is to ride my bike over the most scenic and mountainous roads that we have on our planet. Each year I get the opportunity to add a few more of these roads to my cycling accomplishments. I am also an avid alpine skier, thus making Colorado my ideal home.
Each semester my students tell me how much they enjoy learning about the intricacies of proper nutrition. I hope that you too will enjoy the information provided in this class, and I look forward to working with you!
